About the founder

Peter Prinsen, a Dutch national fluent in English, graduated from Hogeschool van Amsterdam in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy. He furthered his education by obtaining a second bachelor’s degree in manual therapy from Stichting Opleiding Manuele Therapie in Amersfoort in 2007, after which he began teaching at the International School for Physical Therapy Thim van der Laan in Nieuwegein. In 2019 Peter finished an educational program in Lifestyle Coaching.

In 2011, Peter transitioned to Sint Maarten after a decade of clinical practice and three years of teaching in the Netherlands. Over the years, he has been actively involved in healthcare initiatives, including establishing physical therapy services in Sint Eustatius and founding the Paramedical Association Sint Maarten in 2018. Peter is since 2017 a member of the Council of Health for country Sint Maarten.

In 2019, he founded ProPhysio Prinsen, later collaborating with Sebastiaan Hoendervangers and renaming the clinic to ProPhysio Prinsen I Hoendervangers in 2022. With the addition of his brother Remi, Naomi and Danique in 2022, 2023 and 2025 respectively, the clinic evolved into ProPhysio Sint Maarten. In 2024, ProParamedicals Caribbean Training, Courses, & Consultancy was launched, further expanding Peter’s impact on healthcare in the Caribbean region.
